Bharath Kotaru

Bharath Kotaru has work experience in various engineering roles. Bharath started their career as a Civil Engineering Intern at Larsen & Toubro in 2016. In 2018, they worked as a Graduate Site Engineer at Vasuprada Consultants LLP. Bharath then joined Auckland Transport as an Intern in 2020. In 2021, they became a Graduate Transportation Engineer at Eliga Limited. Currently, they hold the position of Roading Design Engineer at Timaru District Council, starting in 2022.

Bharath Kotaru completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Andhra University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In 2019, they pursued a Masters of Engineering Studies degree in Transportation and Highway Engineering from The University of Auckland, which they completed in 2020. Bharath also obtained several certifications, including "Gender Equality in Transportation (Self-Paced)" from The World Bank in March 2021, "usRAP Coding - A Complete Course on Data Preparation" from Iowa State University, Engineering-LAS Online Learning in March 2021, "Introduction to iRAP (Star rating Demonstrator)" from iRAP in February 2021, and "Road Safety Engineering" from EBRD in February 2021. Additionally, Bharath is a member of various organizations, including the Indian Society for Technical Education (SRKREC Students' Chapter AP-10) and the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI), Kolkata, which they joined in August 2014. Bharath also holds the designation of "Emerging Professional" from Engineering New Zealand, obtained in October 2020, and they became a group member of the Transportation Group New Zealand in November 2020.
