Mike Bekin

Mike Bekin is an experienced professional in the field of sustainable timber imports and ecological responsibility. As the owner and manager of Ecochoice since December 2005, Mike has successfully bridged various market requirements with sustainable practices. Currently, Mike serves on the Board of Trustees for the Timber Decking and Cladding Association and holds advisory roles with Open Forest Protocol, Kanop, and iNovaLand Investment Limited. Mike is also the founder of Net Positive Partners, which supports organizations aiming to achieve verifiable positive impacts on nature. As a non-executive director and trustee for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) UK, Mike contributes to advancing sustainable forestry practices. Mike's educational background includes pursuing a Master's degree in Sustainability Studies at the University of Cambridge and holding an MSc in Science Philosophy from Schumacher College, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
