Angelina Leon Nastasi

User Support Associate at Timehop

Angelina Leon Nastasi has been working in the user support associate at Timehop since June 2021. Prior to that, they were an organizer at Amnesty International USA from July 2019 to June 2021. In that role, they developed and implemented effective grassroots community organizing strategies and tactics in Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana that promoted community engagement and leadership development. Angelina also engaged, catalyzed, and mobilized a grassroots activist base in Amnesty’s priority campaigns on refugee rights, end gun violence, and human rights defenders worldwide.

Before their work at Amnesty International USA, Leon Nastasi was a Peace Corps Education Volunteer from March 2016 to July 2017. In that role, they delivered quality education services to youth and adults in underserved communities in Thailand. Angelina also assessed and delivered training needs and developed skills capacity to support activist development and increase the impact of their actions.

From July 2017 to January 2019, Leon Nastasi worked as a training specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In that role, they provided training and development support for new hire orientations, customer service initiatives, process improvement projects, and compliance-related programs. Angelina also identified, recruited, and oversaw a diverse pool of volunteer leaders and develop state leadership teams.

Lastly, from January 2013 to March 2016, Leon Nastasi worked as a physician office assistant III at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In that role, they assisted with patient care, clerical duties, and office administration. Angelina also cultivated and fostered activists led actions and events.

Angelina Leon Nastasi has a Master's degree in International Cooperation and Development from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and a B.A. in Italian Language/Literature/Culture from Syracuse University. Angelina also studied Italian Film Studies and Restoration in Bologna at Syracuse University.
