Steven Burwell has extensive work experience in the field of broadcasting and media production. Steven has worked for several companies and has held various roles throughout their career.
Steven began their career in 2005 as a Studio Assistant at Pinewood Shepperton plc, where they assisted in various productions and helped with studio rigs and gallery set up. In 2006, they worked as a Technical Runner at CTV Outside Broadcasts Ltd., gaining hands-on experience in the technical aspects of broadcasting.
In the same year, Steven joined iBuy TV as a Studio Camera Operator, responsible for operating studio cameras and monitoring live output. Steven also covered other production aspects such as vision mixing, sound, VT, lighting, and floor managing.
From 2006 to 2014, Steven worked at The Jewellery Channel as a Vision Mixer/Technical Director/Multi Skilled Operator. In this role, they were in charge of vision mixing and directing the live output of the channel. Steven operated a GVG Kayak DD vision mixing desk and handled various production tasks such as controlling and playout of tapeless VTs and adjusting robotic cameras.
In 2013, Steven worked as a Freelance Vision Mixer at BBC Arabic, contributing their skills to the production of Arabic-language programming.
Steven joined QVC in 2014 as a Broadcast Technical Operator, where they gained further experience in the technical aspects of broadcast operations.
Moving forward, Steven continued to expand their expertise by working for various companies in freelance roles. Steven worked as a Freelance Vision Engineer for Timeline Television, where they covered events such as boxing matches and theater productions. Steven also worked as a Freelance Racks/Vision Engineer for Zest4.TV and Flux Broadcast, where they racking cameras and equipment for live streaming and events.
Recently, Steven has worked as a Freelance Camera Supervisor for Trickbox TV Ltd., overseeing camera operations for various productions.
Throughout their career, Steven has gained extensive experience in vision engineering, camera operation, technical directing, and other aspects of broadcast production. Steven has worked on a wide range of projects, including live sporting events, theater productions, and live streaming. Steven'sskills and expertise make him a valuable asset in the broadcasting industry.
Steven Burwell pursued their education in the field of television production. From 1998 to 1999, they attended Amersham & Wycombe College, where they obtained an HND degree in Live Television Production, specializing in Live Studio Television Production. Following this, from 1999 to 2002, they enrolled in Buckinhamsire & Chiltersn University College, where they earned a degree in Applied Television Production. During their time at this institution, Steven focused on Camera Operating and Vision Mixing.
