Cecilia Chan is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter at Times Media Group since July 2018, Cecilia previously held the position of News Editor at Independent Newspapers from January 2014 to July 2018, where responsibilities included news reporting, writing, editing, and pagination. Prior experience includes Senior Reporter roles at The Arizona Republic, covering significant local issues and government activities from 2005 to 2013, and as a local reporter at Los Angeles Daily News and The Desert Sun, focusing on government spending and community issues. Early career contributions also include editorial roles at Independent Newspapers and writing for San Diego University’s publications. Cecilia holds bachelor's degrees in Government-Journalism from California State University-Sacramento and English with a concentration in Literature from Eastern Nazarene College.
