Andres Ochoa Velasquez

Andres Ochoa Velasquez has a diverse work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Andres started their career as an Assistant while self-employed in 2017. Andres later worked as an Engineer Junior, Construction Inspector, and Schedule and Costs Professional at Restrepo y Uribe S.A.S., where they participated in the construction audit of four buildings.

Andres then worked as a Design Engineer at Gustavo Torres, where they prepared settlement documents and sustainability plans for projects. Andres also worked at Ristra as a Design Engineer, focusing on office remodeling and closed-circuit television implementation.

In 2022, Andres joined Intexa Ingeniería as a Project Coordinator. Here, they led and organized the design process for various projects, including a mall, residential tower, health center, and residential buildings. Andres was responsible for project leadership, cost estimation, and preparing construction plans.

Most recently, Andres joined Timmons Group as a Project Engineer, where they worked on a solar panel installation project in Virginia, USA. Andres'sresponsibilities included analyzing project conditions, designing roads and linear infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control.

Andres Ochoa Velasquez obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad La Gran Colombia, completing their education from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2023, they completed the Green Skills Certificate SP from INCO Academy, as well as a certification in "Appraising the Wider Economic Benefits of Transport Corridor Investments" from the World Bank Group. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in "Sistemas de potencia electrobarras y transformadores" from Legrand. In 2021, they acquired several certifications related to Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Civil Engineering and Construction, including certifications from Naska Digital and Autodesk. Furthermore, they completed a Construction Management Specialization from Coursera in 2021, as well as certifications in Construction Finance, Construction Cost Estimating and Cost Control, Construction Scheduling, and Construction Project Management.
