Sam Fantaye

Project Designer at Timmons Group

Sam Fantaye has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Graduate Assistant Intern at IREX for a three-month period. In 2018, they joined Sites Southwest as a Landscape Designer, a role they held until May 2021. Concurrently, from 2015 to 2021, Sam served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of New Mexico. Currently, they are employed at Timmons Group as a Project Designer, a role they started in June 2021.

Sam Fantaye has a diverse education history starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Hawassa University. Sam attended from 2009 to 2014. Following this, Sam pursued a Master of Landscape Architecture degree at The University of New Mexico from 2015 to 2018. In 2017 and 2018, they also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation and Regionalism (HPR) from the same university. Most recently, Sam completed their Master of Architecture (MArch) degree at The University of New Mexico from 2019 to 2021.
