Project Engineer III at Timmons Group

Zoe Ault Rivas has a diverse range of work experience. Zoe currently works as a Project Engineer II at Timmons Group, where they began in July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Environmental Engineer at Tetra Tech from August 2019 to August 2021.

Before their work at Tetra Tech, Zoe held various roles at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth. Zoe was the co-manager of a team that won NASA's 2019 BIG Idea Challenge, where they designed and researched innovative ideas for a Mars greenhouse. Zoe also served as a facilitator for the Discover Materials! Project, helping to create a database and website that showcased a collection of materials for public learning. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and participated in a sustainable design course project focused on repurposing a church complex in Massachusetts.

In 2018, Zoe worked as a Summer Intern at the Marshall Space Flight Center of NASA. Zoe contributed to a team that translated freeze-cast biomimetic materials experiments to microgravity experiments onboard the International Space Station.

Other experiences on Zoe's resume include an architecture course design project at Dartmouth College, an engineering internship at Tetra Tech's environmental group in 2017, an ESL Assistant Teacher role at Dartmouth College's Rassias Center in 2015, a job shadow experience at the Idaho Transportation Department in 2015, a Kids After School Time Counselor role at Hanover Parks and Recreation from 2014 to 2015, and an Aquaculture Technician position at the College of Southern Idaho in 2014.

Zoe Ault Rivas began their education at Twin Falls High School from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their High School diploma. Zoe then attended Dartmouth College from 2014 to 2018 and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering. In 2016, Zoe had the opportunity to study abroad at the Universitat de Barcelona. Continuing their academic journey, they enrolled at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth from 2018 to 2019, focusing on Environmental Engineering and earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
