Erik Lee has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Erik began their career as an Architect at Revery Architecture Inc., where they contributed to the design and construction oversight of The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. Erik then transitioned into the animation field and worked as a Staff Character Animator at Square USA, where they were part of a team developing R&D for the feature film "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within." Erik also utilized their architecture background to contribute to the Art Department by designing CG architectural sets.

Following their time at Square USA, Erik joined Rhythm and Hues as a Staff Character Animator and Lead Animator, where they worked on the feature film "End of Days" and collaborated directly with Director Peter Hyams to animate the Satan creature.

Erik later established himself as a Senior Animator, Lead Animator, and Animation Director through roles at Asylum Visual Effects, where they started the animation department and led projects for feature films, film titles, music videos, and commercials. Erik was also responsible for developing a new Nintendo branding campaign with Leo Burnett and Associates.

Continuing their career in animation, Erik served as a Creative Director at TALYSMN, where they demonstrated their leadership and creative skills. Erik then founded their own animation studio, Erik Lee Animation, where they held the roles of Senior Animator, Lead Animator, and Animation Director.

Erik's recent experiences include working as a Senior Animator at DNEG and Tippett Studio, where they held the positions of Animator, Lead Animator, and Head of Animation at Tippett Canada.

Throughout their career, Erik has received recognition for their work, including being nominated for the 2013 MTV VMA and 32nd ANNIE Awards.

Erik Lee attended the University of Southern California in 2005, where they completed the Film School Summer Intensives program with a focus on Commercial and Music Video Direction. In 1996 to 1997, they studied at Sheridan College, specializing in Computer Animation. Erik also studied Architecture at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree. Additionally, they participated in the Architecture Foundation Studies Summer Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
