Liz Bender has a strong background in leadership and finance within the nonprofit sector. From March 2019 to present, they have served as the Chief Operating Officer at Tipping Point Community, overseeing multiple departments and leading strategic planning. Prior to this, from October 2015 to January 2019, Liz was the Chief Finance and Growth Officer at First Place for Youth, where they managed the organization's finances and spearheaded its national expansion. Liz Bender pursued their education at Boston College from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance. Following that, they attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2004 to 2006. During this period, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Philanthropic Studies and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree specializing in Non-Profit Management. These educational experiences prepared Liz for a diverse range of knowledge and skills in finance, philanthropic studies, and non-profit management.
