Silvia Benza Bareiro

Silvia Benza Bareiro has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries.

In 2014, they joined Fundação COPPETEC as a Software Requirements Analyst. Silvia was involved in analyzing software requirements, developing use cases, and leading the Test Team for web and mobile system development projects.

In 2016, Silvia became an Assistant Professor at UFRJ, where they taught computer programming to engineering students, focusing on Python and topics such as procedural and object-oriented programming.

In 2017, they worked briefly as a Data Science Consultant at Data Science Brigade and also began working as a Professor at Instituto Infnet, where they stayed until 2018.

Starting in 2018, Silvia worked at Werkspot as a Data Engineer. Their responsibilities included designing, building, and maintaining the data pipeline for multiple countries using tools like DBT, Redshift, and Looker. Silvia automated manual work in the Finance department after identifying issues in data collection.

In 2021, Silvia joined Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Data Engineer and then moved on to their current role as a Data Engineer at Tiqets in 2022.

Silvia Benza Bareiro holds an M.Sc. Degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from COPPE / UFRJ, which they obtained between the years 2014 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from CNEMDVP - Ayolas, Misiones from 2000 to 2005. Silvia also obtained a degree in Computer and Information Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 2006 to 2013.
