David Li

David Li has been working in the software engineering industry since 2017. David began their career as an intern at Ytel, where they worked with other developers to design and implement a chatbot from the ground up. From 2018 to 2019, they held the role of Software Developer at Ytel, where they developed RESTful API microservices using Spring Boot Java, and BigQuery and Scylla databases that read and write to Kafka message queues. David also prototyped a chatbot for a client company using Google Dialogflow, Node.js, and MySQL. From 2019 to 2022, they held the role of Software Engineer at The Bouqs Company. Prior to their software engineering career, they held a Work Study Position at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 2015 to 2017, where they worked as an administrative data-entry assistant, transferring hardcopy patient information into a new database. David also shadowed surgeons and observed several cataract surgery procedures.

David Li attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2014 to 2018 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology and Bioinformatics.
