Desmond Ellis

Desmond Ellis has worked in the field of project management since 2011. Desmond began their career at Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. as a Program Management Office Coordinator. During their time there, they initiated and implemented weekly and monthly summary analysis reports, increased program operations and onboarding process efficiency by 40%, and worked cooperatively with management to create internal documents and systems for continuous quality improvement. In 2016, they moved to Creative IT Solutions, LLC as Program Director. Desmond was responsible for full-cycle recruiting, onboarded over 20k Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) employees during the contract duration, and provided monthly recommendations to upper management to address CDC’s diversity requirements related to program activity, recruitment efforts, workforce succession planning, staffing and retention needs. Most recently, in 2022, they joined TJFACT LLC - Totally Joined for Achieving Collaborative Techniques as Senior Business Manager. In this role, they developed and implemented project management tools for the oversight and coordination of various projects, managed a team of four analysts, and kept the project budget under original estimates by 30%. Desmond also centralized a formal process for requesting funding for Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) projects within The Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (CSELS).

Desmond obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Walden University in 2022, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Walden University in 2022, a Bachelor's degree in Communication, General from Walden University in 2021, and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Atlanta Metropolitan State College (Official) in 2017.
