Sophia Mazahreh

Sophia Mazahreh has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sophia started their career as a Surgical Intensive Care Unit Intern at Sutter Health in March 2018, followed by an internship in the Medical and Gynecology Unit at the same organization. From September 2018 to June 2020, they worked as a Building Supervisor at UC Davis Campus Recreation and Unions. In 2014, they served as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kids Self-Defense Coach at UFC GYM for a duration of six years.

In 2020, Sophia worked as a Research Academic Associate at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and as a Molecular Technologist Trainee at LabCorp.

Starting in April 2021, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at MicroGenDX. In February 2022, they joined Capstan Therapeutics as a Research Associate before moving on to Tmunity Therapeutics Incorporated as a Senior Associate Scientist in November 2022.

Currently, Sophia is employed with Kite Pharma as a Senior Research Associate I in Cell Biology, since April 2023.

Sophia Mazahreh completed their primary and secondary education at Washington Township High School from 2012 to 2016. After completing high school, they attended the University of California, Davis from 2016 to 2020. At UC Davis, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. In addition to their formal education, Sophia also obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Red Cross in September 2017.
