Jan van Erp

Jan van Erp is a Principal Scientist at TNO since 1993 and has held various ancillary positions since January 2022, including chair roles in the IEEE Future Direction Telepresence roadmap committee and the NATO RTO Research Task Group on Cognitive Neuroenhancement. Additionally, Jan van Erp serves as a professor of Tangible User Interaction at the University of Twente, has experience as Director of Research at EagleScience, and was the Scientific Director of the BrainGain Consortium. Jan van Erp holds a doctoral degree in Computer Science from Utrecht University and multiple certifications in program management and experimental psychology from esteemed institutions. Contributions include leadership in scientific endeavors relating to social touch and cognition, and editorial roles in various journals focused on human-neuro interactions and haptics.
