Rixt Altenburg

Rixt Altenburg is a geologist currently employed at TNO, the Geological Survey of the Netherlands, since July 2023. Prior to this position, Rixt Altenburg gained valuable experience as an intern at EBN B.V. and held various roles at TNO, including Junior Researcher and Junior Research Assistant from February 2019 to October 2022. An internship at COVRA N.V. involved a Master’s Thesis, focusing on the geology of the Triassic Röt Formation in collaboration with TNO. An internship with the Exploration team at NAM BV Assen further enriched Rixt Altenburg's expertise in the field. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University and a Master of Science in Earth, Structure and Dynamics, also from Utrecht University, supplemented by a minor in Sustainable Development from Leiden University.
