Rogier Giepman is an accomplished professional in the field of aerodynamics and wind energy, currently serving as Deputy Research Manager at TNO since March 2022, overseeing operational management of the wind energy group with a focus on project progress, research priorities, and safety culture. Prior to this role, Giepman worked at GE Aviation as an Advanced Lead Engineer, managing large-scale test campaigns and developing turbine technologies for aircraft engines, alongside a tenure at GE Global Research where responsibilities included leading electrification projects and contributing to turbomachinery developments. An academic background culminated in a Ph.D. in Aerodynamics from Delft University of Technology, supported by research experiences at NASA Ames Research Center and the DLR Institute of Aeroelasticity.
