Ton Ten Kate

Ton ten Kate is a Senior Scientist Specialist at TNO since October 2023 and has held the role of Innovator Vision Plantonomy at Priva since October 2007, focusing on machine vision for automating crop handling, harvesting, yield estimation, and plant monitoring in greenhouses. Previously, Ton ten Kate worked at TNO Defence, Security and Safety from 1990 to October 2007, contributing to video analysis for safety and security and developing intelligent autonomous systems. Additionally, Ton ten Kate has experience from the Nederlands Forensisch Instituut in 2006-2007, TNO TPD, the Gintic Institute of Manufacturing Technology, and other positions, emphasizing expertise in computer vision and 3D imaging technologies. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Vision from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and an MSc in Physics from Delft University of Technology.
