Rui Campos has a diverse work experience in game development. Rui started their career as a Game Developer at FEUP, where they developed a Multi-User Multi-Touch casual game. Rui then worked at a Mobile Development Startup before joining Miniclip as a Game Developer, where they developed and released Dino Pets, a city-building game for iOS and Android. Rui then joined GameDuell as a Game Engine Developer, leading a team in creating a Cross Platform Game Development Stack for Mobile and Web. Rui later became the Lead Developer at Studio49 GmbH, where they developed and operated Neverdale Park, a cross-platform iOS and Android game. Rui then returned to GameDuell as a Senior Game Developer, where they developed Grand Gin Rummy 2 and coordinated the conversion of Belote to Unity. Most recently, Rui worked as a Lead Game Developer at Toadman Interactive, where they played a key role in the development of the Chaos Wastes expansion for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, including designing and implementing gameplay systems, coordinating releases, and post-release LiveOps.
Rui Campos attended Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2006 to 2012, where they pursued an Integrated Masters degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering. Additionally, during 2010 to 2011, they participated in an Exchange Programme (ERASMUS) at VIA University College in Denmark. During this program, they studied a range of subjects including Project Management, Linux Server Administration, Web Development, and Robot AI Programming (lego).
