Kate Schmiedicker

Kate Schmiedicker is a Principal Service Designer at Toast since October 2023, with prior experience as a Design Strategist at ThoughtForm from October 2020 to September 2023. At ThoughtForm, Kate led client engagements focused on understanding end users, defining priorities, and identifying innovation opportunities. Previous roles include Lead Design Researcher and Strategist at Stratos Innovation Group, responsible for translating customer insights into business opportunities, and experience as an Industrial Design Intern at Beyond Design, Inc., Moen Incorporated, and Design Napkin. Kate also worked as a Freelance Designer from 2014 to 2015, collaborating with entrepreneurs on branding and product design. Kate holds a degree in Industrial Design with a focus on Product Design and Design Research from The Ohio State University.
