Max Montgelas

Max Montgelas is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and innovation across various sectors. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering and New Ventures Lead at Toast since July 2021, Max focuses on developing transformative restaurant technology. Previously, Max held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Renoviso, where efforts concentrated on disruptive home renovation technology. Co-founding and serving as CTO at Syft, Max contributed to creating a platform that enhances photo sharing and reliving memorable moments. Max also founded Maugdog, Inc., an educational game development studio, and served as CTO and Lead Engineer at MedTrak Inc., a pioneer in mobile healthcare data collection. Max holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Psychology from Williams College.
