Cement Finisher

Pre-employment physical and drug screen are required.

Cement Finisher/Mason responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Pouring concrete deck and overlay deck finishing

  • Pouring approaches and curbs, concrete barrier walls, retaining walls, columns, pier caps, and footings

  • Pouring latex deck patches

  • Rubbing and patching concrete walls, piers, and columns

  • Aid carpenters in forming walls and barriers

  • Aid with preparing for deck pours

  • Break/cut materials to required size

  • Arranging the concrete forms

  • Preparing the base

  • Maintaining proper drainage of handwork areas

  • Maintaining cut off saw in safe operating condition

  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Working at heights with the use of mobile equipment and ladders

  • Often required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally, the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Works safely near and around highway traffic and noisy operations

  • Ability to lift or carry up to 30 or 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs
