Parmoon Sarmadi has had a diverse range of work experiences. In 2016, they worked at The Hospital for Sick Children as a project member, where they used SolidWorks, 3D printers, and silicone casting techniques to design an anatomically correct infant respiratory system. In 2017, they were an engineering intern at AON3D, a startup focused on improving industrial 3D printing capabilities using advanced thermoplastics. In 2018, they worked as a graduate student assistant at McGill University, assisting with marking assignments and assessments for an engineering drawing course. In 2019, they worked as a research assistant at McGill University Health Centre and RI-MUHC, exploring the applications of 3D printed scaffolds for tissue regeneration. They also worked as a data entry and research associate at NameShouts, a name pronunciation service. In 2020, Parmoon had multiple roles, including being a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, a medical device intern at Shiphrah Biomedical Inc., and currently, a project manager at Toi Labs. Throughout their various roles, Parmoon has demonstrated skills in project management, marketing, manufacturing, business development, operations, product development, legal and regulatory aspects, teaching, and research.

Parmoon Sarmadi completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University between 2014 and 2019. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2020.
