Korcan Bacaksız

Korcan Bacaksız has a diverse work experience in the field of industrial design and user experience. Korcan worked as an Industrial Design and User Experience Project Assistant at Token Financial Technologies from October 2022 to the present. Prior to that, they were an Industrial Designer and User Experience Designer at the same company from August 2022 to October 2022.

In January 2022, Korcan served as the General Director at FIRST-HAND DENEYİM FESTİVALİ. Korcan also founded and served as the President of Medipol Innovation Design Community starting from September 2019.

From November 2020 to October 2022, they worked as a Career Ambassador at Medipol UNV Career Office.

Korcan had internships as an Industrial Design Intern at Çelikel Aluminium Die Casting from August 2021 to September 2021, and also worked as an Industrial Designer at Crs Soft in July 2022 and Marbleous in February 2022.

Korcan Bacaksız attended Gazi University from 2018 to 2019, where they pursued an undergraduate degree in Industrial Product Design. Korcan then transferred to Medipol University, where they are currently enrolled as an undergraduate student. At Medipol University, they are simultaneously studying two different disciplines. From 2019 to 2023, Korcan is pursuing a degree in Industrial Product Design, and from 2020 to 2024, they are also studying Visual Communication Design.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Korcan has obtained several certifications. These include participation in the "Gıda İsrafını Engelleme Proje Yarışması" organized by İstanbul Ticaret Borsası in June 2022, the "JR UX Designer" certification from Userspots in January 2022, the "CLICK4CAREER Katılım Sertifikası" from TOFAŞ Türk Otomobil Fabrikası A.Ş. in July 2021, the "Yetişkin Oyun Tasarımı Çalıştayı" from Joon in February 2021, the "Sanal Bilim Şenlikleri Katılım Sertifikası" from Bilim Kahramanları Derneği in June 2020, and the "Young Executive Academy Katılım Sertifikası" from Öğrenci Kariyeri in October 2019.

Prior to their university education, Korcan completed the "İngilizce Konuşma ve Kültür Kursu Bitirme Sertifikası" offered by Pamukkale Belediyesi. Korcan also participated in the "A Cuisine Recipe Works Comenius Project" organized by Avrupa Birliği Türkiye Delegasyonu in both Italy and Turkey in 2015 and 2014, respectively. Additionally, they hold a "Model Uçak Sertifikası" from Türk Hava Kurumu, which they obtained in July 2010. Lastly, they received the "Certified Beginner Participant" certification from KUAR: Koç University- Arçelik Research Center for Creative Industries in December 2020.
