Soichiro Tanaka

Soichiro Tanaka currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Transportation Design field at Tokyo Metropolitan University and as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo's Center for Advanced Sciences since April 2021. Additionally, Tanaka has been a lecturer in the Department of System Design Engineering at Hosei University since April 2020. Previously, Tanaka held multiple roles at Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., including Deputy Chief General Manager of the Creative Center and General Manager of Advanced and Strategy Design from 2013 to 2022. Tanaka also managed the Product Design Laboratory within Yamaha from 1990 to 2013. Tanaka earned a Bachelor of Arts in Product Design from Kyoto City University of Arts between 1986 and 1990.
