Valentina D'Avenia

Valentina D'Avenia is a Visual Arts Specialist at Pro Helvetia since June 2023 and serves as a Guest Curator at Palais de Tokyo since December 2022. Previously, D'Avenia directed the Festival des Sexualités et des Genres de Lausanne from June 2021 to July 2023 and worked as an Administratrice et productrice at Les Urbaines in 2019. D'Avenia's early career includes a role as a Mémorante at UNIL where a Master's in Art History with a focus on Cultural Historical Sciences was pursued. D'Avenia has also held positions such as Junior Project Manager at swissnex Brazil and President of Le Cabanon, an art space at the University of Lausanne. D'Avenia began a career in the arts at MUDAC, contributing as a welcome staff member from January 2008 to June 2015. The educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation.
