Amy Allen has a diverse work experience in the education field. Amy began their career as a teacher at Springfield Schools in 1990 and worked there until 2000. From 2000 to 2014, they served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Toledo. Currently, they are employed at Toledo Public Schools, where they have held the positions of Transformational Leader from 2014 to 2021 and Chief of Student Supports since December 2021.
Amy Allen received their Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from The University of Toledo in 1990. Amy went on to earn a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the same institution between 1993 and 1995. Amy continued their education at The University of Toledo and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Psychology, completing their studies in 2007.
