Ellen Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 1990, they became the owner of Brand Merchandising until August 1997. Starting in January 1993, they worked as an Information Technology Specialist for Commerce Clearing House Inc until 1996. In 2003, Ellen began working at Tom Smith Land and Homes, where they held multiple roles including Marketing Director and Owner, as well as Realtor.

Ellen Smith holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pepperdine University. Ellen also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
