Chief Petty Officer Mads Schreiber Carmés retired from active duty in May 2022 after 20 years of service in the Royal Danish Defense.
His service began in the Danish Navy in 2002, and transitioned to the Danish army, graduating from military police sergeant school in 2006. In 2009, Mr. Carmés graduated from the Danish Frogman School, becoming a member of an elite Special Operations unit. Mr. Carmés served 13 years at the Danish Naval Special Warfare Group as a Frogman.
During Mr. Carmés' 20 years of service, he conducted numerous deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Ocean Shield (anti-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia), Operation REGSYR (removal of chemical weapons from Syria), and several other missions worldwide. Throughout the past 13 years, Mr. Carmés has received extensive training and has worked closely with National Mission Force units in the United States.
Upon retirement, Mr. Carmés was offered to move to the U.S. and serve as Program Manager with Tomahawk Strategic Solutions — A job that Mr. Carmés was honored to take as he could again work with counterparts and friends in the U.S. Special Operations community. Additionally, Mr. Carmés brings a unique cultural diversity to Tomahawk that will enable the team to look at challenges from a different perspective and implement creative solutions. In this position, he is excited and eager to learn and help first responders and the private sector better protect themselves and the communities in which they serve, utilizing his many years of tactical experience.
Mr. Carmés was born and raised in the Kingdom of Denmark.
