Nils Reimers is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Director of Research Development at Tomax AS since June 2005, where responsibilities include fielding new product initiatives. Prior to this role, Nils held positions at Equinor as a Consulting Technical Manager focusing on technology and management consulting, and at MHWirth as Senior VP Global Operations with a focus on international operations and M&A projects. Nils also served as President of MH Pyramid Inc. at Aker Solutions, concentrating on corporate strategy and asset sales. Earlier in the career, Nils was recognized as SPE Young Engineer of the Year in 2007 as a Project Manager at Altus Intervention, and held various engineering roles at Baker Hughes, TELECO SONAT, and Schlumberger. Nils earned a BSc in Petroleum Technology from the University of Stavanger between 1983 and 1986.

Formed in 2005, Tomax is focused on developing technology for improving drilling efficiency with modern drilling systems. The work was initially funded by the two largest offshore operators in Norway at the time. Based on the success with the resulting Anti Stick-slip Tool (AST) Tomax has expanded its business to make the product available for rental from several major oilfield hubs around the world. The field services branches of Tomax have modern workshop facilities and personnel with both training and experience from international oilfield operations. All branches of the company are certified according to the relevant ISO standard.
