Pete Johnson

Pete Johnson has a strong background in software engineering, spanning over 20 years of experience in various roles and companies. Pete currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Tomorrow's Journey, a position they have held since May 2022. Previously, they worked at BeyondTrust (formerly Avecto) from September 2018 to May 2022, also as a Senior Software Engineer.

Prior to that, Pete worked at Avecto from July 2016 to September 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer. During their tenure at Avecto, they were involved in the development work on an endpoint management platform in Azure. Pete played a crucial role in re-architecting the system to run on Microsoft Service Fabric and then to a single-server system for small-scale deployments.

Before joining Avecto, Pete worked at DRSP Ltd as a Principal Developer from March 2014 to July 2016. In this role, they worked on various projects, including the development of an internal claims management system and a new internal system for IVA case management.

From August 2013 to March 2014, Pete worked at Advanced Computer Software Group Plc (formerly IRIS Software Group) as a Senior Software Developer in the Legal Division. Pete'sresponsibilities included the development and maintenance of existing legal practice management software.

Prior to that, Pete worked at IRIS Software Group from August 2010 to April 2013 as a Senior Developer in the Field Service & Hire Division. During this time, they worked on a greenfield field service application, where they used technologies such as Silverlight 5, Entity Framework, and WCF.

Pete's earlier work experience includes roles at Sage UK as a Developer from November 2006 to August 2010, at Capital One as a Developer from September 2005 to October 2006, and at Vertex Data Science as a Developer from November 2002 to September 2005. In these positions, they worked on various development projects using languages and technologies such as C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.

Pete Johnson completed their high school education at Weaverham High School from 1992 to 1997. Pete then attended Sir John Deane's College from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Maths, Physics, Computing, and General Studies. Finally, Pete Johnson pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, which they completed from 1999 to 2002.
