Fatafehi Fonua has a comprehensive work experience in the field of auditing. From 2006 to present, Fonua has held various roles at the Tonga Office of the Auditor General, including Executive Director, Audit Manager, Senior Auditor, and Auditor. Prior to this, Fonua served as Principal Auditor at the Tonga Office of the Auditor General from 2012 to present. Currently, Fonua is the Chief Internal Auditor at Tonga Communications Corporation, a position held since 2020. Overall, Fatafehi Fonua has gained extensive expertise in auditing throughout their career.
Fatafehi Fonua pursued their education in the field of accounting. Fatafehi obtained a Bachelor of Accounting and Management degree from Pacific Adventist University between 2000 and 2004. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they attended Auckland University of Technology, where they completed a Master of Professional Accounting degree.
