Adrian Smith has worked in the enterprise software industry since 1998. Theirfirst role was as an Account Executive at BMC Software in 1998. Adrian then moved to Manugistics as a Senior Account Manager in 2000. In 2004, they joined Oracle as a Global Strategic Account Executive, taking an inherited territory from less than $200K annually to over $2.5M in new business. In 2006, they became the Regional Sales Manager at Guardium, an IBM Company, and was responsible for designing the channel model and sales strategy for the company's data protection platform. In 2010, they joined 8x8/Fuze/Thinking Phones as the Global Strategic Account Executive and National Alliances Manager, and was the first team member to focus on enterprise accounts. In 2018, they became the Senior Sales Executive at UiPath, where they used the MEDDIC sales approach to advise the C-suite on harnessing the power of UiPath's automation solutions. In 2019, they joined DRUID AI as the Sr. Director - Sales and Alliances for North America, and in 2022 they were appointed as Senior Account Executive at Tonkean.

Adrian Smith obtained their BS in BioChemistry from Texas Tech University. In 2019, they received the DataRobot Sales Certification from DataRobot and the DataRobot Essentials certification from the same institution. In 2020, they completed the Leadership Principles course from Harvard Business School Online.
