Sam Sharps

Sam Sharps serves as the Executive Director for both Policy and Technology and Public Policy at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change since January 2022. Prior to this role, Sam held various positions at Apple from April 2015 to December 2021, including Head of Government Affairs for the UK and Ireland and Acting Director of Government Affairs for Europe. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director at Portland Communications, Deputy Director at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and Deputy Director at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, where involvement included the Digital Britain White Paper and Caio Review. Sam's career commenced at Cable & Wireless as Public Affairs Manager. Educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Nottingham, completed in 1999.
