Miki Maeda has a long and varied work experience. Miki began in 2019 as the Sales (E-comm) Manager/Business Operations at Too Corporation Americas. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Business Development at JETRO USA, where they established and cultivated relationships with potential and existing clients, and supported them to expand their business in Japan. From 2008 to 2016, they were a Japanese Language Teacher and Project Coordinator at the Japan Society of Northern California, where they taught business Japanese, developed teaching methods and materials, and organized various events. From 2008 onward, they also worked as an Interpreter/Translator (English - Japanese) for various companies and organizations in the US and Japan. Finally, from 2005 to 2008, they were an Exporting Business Assistant at Hitachi Medical, where they supported distributors sales activities and export transactions of medical devices.
Miki Maeda holds a Master's Degree in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Waseda University. Miki also has two additional certifications; Brand Management: Aligning Business, Brand and Behaviour from Coursera, obtained in January 2021, and Customer Analytics from Wharton Online, obtained in 2020.
