Kevin Bacon, AIA, AICP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of urban design and planning. Kevin is currently serving as the Director of Urban Design Southeast at Toole Design Group since 2022. Prior to this, they had various roles at the City of Atlanta, including Interim Deputy Commissioner and Director of Design at the Department of City Planning, where they were responsible for leading design projects and community engagement programs. Kevin also worked as a Senior Urban Designer at Perkins + Will from 2010 to 2016, where they executed visionary and innovative urban design projects. Kevin gained valuable experience as an Urban Designer at AECOM Design + Planning and Glatting Jackson, where they collaborated with stakeholders and designed projects with a focus on transportation planning and design. Kevin started their career as an Intern Architect at SRJ Architects and HKS, where they managed building projects in healthcare, hospitality, and education sectors. Kevin also has teaching and research experience as a Teaching & Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Throughout their career, Kevin has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a multidisciplinary approach to design.

Kevin Bacon, AIA, AICP, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Kevin further pursued their education at the same institution and earned two Master's Degrees, one in Architecture and another in City & Regional Planning, from 2005 to 2008.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Kevin has acquired several certifications. Kevin received their architectural registration in the State of Georgia in October 2016. In November 2010, they became an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) through the American Planning Association. Kevin also holds a LEED AP certification from the Green Building Certification Institute, obtained in November 2009. Kevin obtained Architect Membership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in October 2009, and in May 2005, they achieved the NCARB certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
