Nimal Chabilall has worked in the telecommunications industry since 2007. In 2007, they worked as a UTRAN Optimisation Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks. In 2008, they joined MTN, where they held various roles, including Senior Program Manager: Capital Projects Group, Senior Manager: Radio Planning, National Radio Planning Manager, Team Leader: Planning and Optimisation, and Senior Engineer: Planning and Optimisation. In 2010, they worked as an EXPAT - Network Consultant and Radio Network Planning Engineer at MTN - Sudan. In 2021, they worked as an Access Network Planning Consultant at a private company. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Chief Network Officer at TooMuchWifi, where they are responsible for managing business networks, stakeholders, and the execution of strategic objectives.
Nimal Chabilall completed a National Diploma in Light Current Engineering at Durban University of Technology from 2003 to 2005. Nimal then attended Varsity College from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained a Project Management degree in the same field. Finally, they earned an MBA in Business Management from Mancosa in 2011 to 2013.
