Martin Helweg

Martin Helweg has over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry. Martin is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Topaz Energy and Marine Limited.

Prior to joining Topaz, Martin served as the Chief Operating Officer at P&O Maritime Logistics from September 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for P&O Maritime Logistics global operations, spanning across all 7 continents, with approximately 400 vessels and 4,500 colleagues.

Before P&O Maritime Logistics, Martin was the Chief Executive Officer (Americas) at SVITZER Americas from September 2011 to February 2017. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of Svitzer’s North, Central and South American business and was responsible for a team of over 1,000 colleagues.

Martin has a wealth of experience in the maritime industry and is a respected leader in the field. Martin holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Martin Helweg has a Master of Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, as well as an IMSEC Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Martin also has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Copenhagen Business School.
