Azadeh Shirzad

Azadeh Shirzad has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Manager Assistant at Noghreh Abi, where they were responsible for managing customer orders and overseeing subordinates. In 2008, they joined Lavasoft as a Technical Support Officer, providing assistance to users through various channels. Azadeh also served as a Quality Assurance professional, testing internet security software and supervising interns.

From 2009-2010, Azadeh worked as an Interaction Designer at Jeppesen, contributing to the design process. Azadeh then joined Eindhoven University of Technology as a Trainee in User System Interaction Design.

In 2012, Azadeh worked as a User Experience Designer Consultant at Philips Research, conducting research and creating prototypes for communication and collaboration in healthcare.

From 2013-2014, they freelanced as a User Experience Designer for L1NDA, focusing on improving the user experience of their software.

From 2014-2017, Azadeh worked at Exact as a User Experience Designer, responsible for designing and validating accountancy and payroll solutions. Azadeh also actively promoted Design Thinking and worked on improving the user experience.

In 2018, they joined TBA Netherlands as a Senior UX Designer and Team Lead, responsible for design operations, co-creating their design system, and designing mobile and desktop apps for their Container Handling System.

Currently, Azadeh is working as the Head of UX at TOPdesk starting in 2022.

Azadeh Shirzad completed their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Sadjad University between the years 1998 and 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Interaction Design from Chalmers University of Technology between 2007 and 2009.
