Partner Manager at TOPdesk

Colin Bassant has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Employee Customer Service at Konmar Superstore for five years. In 2006, they served as an English teacher at Nagasaki University for a few months before joining Japan Airlines as a Passenger Handler until 2008. From 2009 to 2010, Colin worked as an English teacher on a freelance basis. In 2010, they briefly worked as a Translator Japanese-English at Clark Football Languages Ltd. Colin then joined TOPdesk in 2011 as a Service Management Consultant, a role they held until 2020. Between 2018 and 2020, they also served as an Agile Coach at the same company. Colin's roles at TOPdesk progressed, with him becoming a Project Manager from 2019 to 2022, then a Senior Project Manager from 2022 to the present. In May 2023, they were promoted to the position of Partner Manager at TOPdesk.

Colin Bassant has a strong educational background in Japan Studies. Colin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japan Studies from Leiden University in the period of 2003 to 2008. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in a Japanese Language Program for International Students at Nagasaki University in 2005 and 2006.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Colin attended Leiden University again from 2008 to 2011 and earned a Master of Arts degree in Japan Studies. Additionally, they conducted thesis research and took a Japanese Language Course entirely taught in Japanese at Doshisha University from 2009 to 2010.

Colin Bassant has also obtained several certifications in project management and change management. Colin acquired the IPMA-D Project management certification from IPMA Certificering in May 2021. Furthermore, they hold a Verandermanagement Foundation certification from Forsa Advies BV, obtained in December 2018. The additional certifications of ITIL V3 Foundation, KCS (Knowledge Centered Service) Practices V6, KCS (Knowledge Centered Support) Practices V5, and PRINCE2® Foundation (Project Management) have been obtained, however, the specific dates of completion are not provided.
