Maarten Smeyers

Maarten Smeyers has a diverse work experience. Maarten began their career at A.L.S.Z.V. De Blauwe Schuit as a Penningmeester from September 2010 to September 2011. Maarten then worked as a Postbezorger at Sandd from March 2015 to July 2017. Subsequently, they joined Zeilstichting Aeolus as a Vrijwilliger, where they served as the Secretaris from 2013 to 2014 and continued volunteering on zeilkampen and various committees from 2012 to the present. In 2016, they took on the role of Zeilinstructeur at Zeilschool Midden Nederland, which they currently hold until July 2022. Lastly, Maarten is currently employed at TOPdesk, where they started as a Summer Internship - Support in July 2017. Maarten then transitioned to the role of Technical Product Consultant from September 2017 to December 2021. Currently, they are working as a Cloud Engineer starting from January 2022.

Maarten Smeyers completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Informatica from Leiden University, where they studied from 2008 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended College Den Hulster from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained their VWO degree in Natuur en Techniek. In addition to their academic achievements, Maarten also obtained several certifications, including Zeilinstructeur 2 and Zeildiploma kielboot 3 from CWO in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Furthermore, they obtained an English A2 Standard Level certification from the International Baccalaureate in 2008.
