Thomas Burghart

Thomas Burghart has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Thomas began their career in the hospitality sector, working as an F&B waiter at Hotel/Restaurant De Gouden Leeuw. Thomas then gained experience as an intern at Celtic Manor Resort, where they worked in the fine dining restaurant. Thomas also worked as an all-round medewerker bediening at Landgoed Voorlinden, a position they held at Event Company.

Thomas transitioned into project management and consultancy roles, starting as an office manager at Telitas Benelux B.V. Thomas then worked as an assistant product manager at TMG-Company, focusing on SMS marketing and mobile entertainment. Thomas further developed their project management skills as a senior partner at Protocol Bureau, where they oversaw official ceremonial events with a strong focus on international protocol.

At Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, Thomas held various positions, including consultant info & advies, sectormanager, and project manager, where they were responsible for project-based work within the organization. Thomas also became a Registered Practitioner for PRINCE2 and MoP methodologies during their time there.

In their most recent role at TOPdesk, Thomas has taken on multiple leadership positions. Starting as an IT Service Management Consultant, they helped clients improve their service delivery using TOPdesk's tool. Thomas then became an IT Project Manager and portfolio manager, leading and coaching project managers on large-scale projects. Currently, they serve as the Business Unit Director Rijksoverheid, overseeing a multidisciplinary team that serves government clients in the Netherlands.

Thomas Burghart attended Hotelschool The Hague from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a field of study in Hotel Administration. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2004, they attended Rijnlands lyceum wassenaar and completed their Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs (HAVO) degree. In addition to their formal education, Thomas obtained a certification in Gesprekstechnieken from Tijdwinst.com in May 2022.
