Tim van Kester's work experience begins in 2006 with a part-time job at Tomatenkwekerij Van Wingerden which lasted until 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Intern at Centraal Bureau voor de Rijn- en Binnenvaart. Tim then interned at Panteia from December 2014 to February 2015. Tim joined TOPdesk in July 2016 as a Technisch Product Consultant, where they solved customer incidents, verified software errors, and provided customer feedback for product development. Tim became a Team Lead Support at TOPdesk in November 2018, responsible for coaching and evaluating support colleagues. Tim's current role is Technical Writer, starting in January 2021.
Tim van Kester's education history begins with their attendance at ISW Tiendweg from 2003 to 2009, where they completed their Atheneum degree in Economie & Maatschappij. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2009 to 2013. After completing their undergraduate studies, Tim continued their education at the same university from 2012 to 2014, earning a Master's Degree in Urban, Port and Transport Economics.
In addition to their formal education, Tim also obtained two certifications. In 2013, they received a Certificate of Appreciation from Corporate Management of Sohar Industrial Port Company. Later, in February 2023, they completed the course "User Experience: The Beginner’s Guide" offered by The Interaction Design Foundation.
