Sandra Sylvester

Sandra Sylvester is an accomplished social work professional with extensive experience in both management and practice. Currently serving as the Principal Social Worker and Service Manager of The Learning Academy at Torbay Council since July 2020, Sandra also leads curriculum development and the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) program. Previous roles include Team Manager at Devon County Council and Worcestershire County Council, as well as Practice Leader and Social Worker in earlier positions. Sandra began a career as a Financial Advisor at Derek Young & Co before transitioning to social work, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Worcester.
