Amit Nayak

Amit Nayak is a Software Engineer specializing in perception at Torc Robotics since May 2018, following a role as a Research Assistant at EcoPRT, NCSU, from October 2017 to April 2018, where the focus was on a lightweight autonomous vehicle project. Prior experience includes participation in the Self-Driving Car Nanodegree program at Udacity, emphasizing key technologies such as Lane Finding and Vehicle Detection. Also contributed to EcoPRT during 2016, working on LIDAR for obstacle detection and neural network object classification. Early career experience at Mindtree involved software development in JSP and Javascript. Amit holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
