Daniel Fernández is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in autonomous vehicles and robotics. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Torc Robotics since January 2022, Daniel oversees global behavior planning teams focused on optimizing highway driving. As the founder of Navi Robotics, a consulting firm established in September 2015, Daniel promotes robotics education and mobile robotics accessibility. Previous roles include Engineering Lead for Jaguar Land Rover's North America Autonomous Vehicles team and involvement with Oregon's DOT Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles. Daniel has also contributed to various engineering projects at PolySync, Lockheed Martin, and Oregon State University, holding degrees in Robotics and Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State and the University of Florida, respectively.
