Dietmar Zechmann

Dietmar Zechmann is currently the Senior Director Vehicle & Safety Control at Torc Robotics, where Dietmar is responsible for developing and commercializing self-driving trucks for US highways in partnership with Daimler Truck AG. Prior to this role, Dietmar held various positions at Daimler Truck AG and Daimler AG, focusing on motion control, driver assistance systems, autonomous driving, driving dynamics, and automatic transmissions for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Dietmar also has experience in research and development at BMW Group, specializing in driving dynamics and quality management. Dietmar holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
