Kiron Mateti is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in perception software and autonomy systems. Currently serving as the Perception Performance Metrics Tech Lead at Torc Robotics since September 2021, Kiron has effectively coordinated cross-team efforts and developed an interactive dashboard to track software performance improvements. Previously, as a Senior Autonomy Engineer at the same company, Kiron enhanced tools for event re-simulation and automated performance reporting. Prior roles include Lead Perception Engineer at JBT Automated Systems, where Kiron focused on algorithm design and perception software deployment, and Research Scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, tackling complex technical challenges in electro-optic systems. Kiron holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University.
