Rohit Salem

Rohit Salem is an experienced software engineer specializing in perception, currently working at Torc Robotics since June 2018. Prior to this role, Rohit contributed as a software engineering intern at the Open Source Robotics Foundation, where significant work involved developing deep learning object detection packages and tools for performance validation. Rohit's earlier internships included a role at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, where programming and interfacing tasks were completed, and another at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, focused on developing an indoor navigation robot. Rohit holds a Master’s Degree in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, along with a Nano Degree in Self Driving Car from Udacity.
