George Mooney

George Mooney is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Torch Technologies, Inc., since July 2019. Mooney also holds the position of President at GEM Engineering Consulting, LLC, since November 2017, specializing in aerospace/armament acquisition, cybersecurity, strategic planning, and workforce management. Prior to these roles, Mooney was the Director of Engineering at AFLCMC/EN from August 2009 to October 2017, where responsibilities included development and oversight of technical policies and processes for Eglin’s Weapons Program Office as a member of the Air Force Senior Executive Service. Mooney earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Dayton in 1984 and two Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from Wright State University between 1976 and 1979.
